Child & Parenting Support Services

Children often express stress, confusion, or emotional pain in ways that can be difficult for parents to interpret. When words are hard to find, behavior becomes communication. Our child and family services are designed to help children feel safe, understood, and supported, while also giving parents the guidance they need to respond with confidence and care.

Some of our therapists offer child therapy, including play therapy, which allows children to process emotions, experiences, and challenges through developmentally appropriate methods. Play therapy helps children build emotional awareness, improve regulation, strengthen self-esteem, and work through difficult experiences in a way that feels natural rather than forced. This approach is especially helpful for children experiencing anxiety, behavioral changes, transitions, or emotional distress.

Certain clinicians are also trained in TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention), an attachment-centered model that supports children who have experienced trauma, loss, or disruptions in caregiving. TBRI focuses on building felt safety, connection, and healthy structure, helping children develop trust and resilience while strengthening the parent-child relationship. Because each therapist has unique training and areas of focus, child therapy and TBRI services are offered by select providers only, and not all therapists see children. We are happy to help families determine whether these services are a good fit and which clinician may best meet their child’s needs.

Alongside child-focused therapy, we offer Gottman Parenting groups to support parents navigating the complexities of raising children at different developmental stages. These groups are grounded in decades of research on emotional development and family relationships and are designed to help parents better understand their child’s inner world. Parents learn practical tools for emotion coaching, setting healthy boundaries, reducing power struggles, and fostering deeper connection at home.

Our parenting groups also provide something many families need reassurance. Parenting can feel isolating, especially when challenges arise. Being in a supportive group allows parents to learn, reflect, and grow alongside others who are facing similar struggles.

Across all child and parenting services, our approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. We believe meaningful change happens when children feel safe and parents feel supported rather than blamed. Whether you are seeking therapy for your child, guidance as a parent, or both, our goal is to create a calm, welcoming space where families can heal, strengthen relationships, and move forward together.
