Medicine is found in plants, yet healing comes from within them

The Philosophy of Healing Within

You are not broken. You are responding.

Anxiety, depression, a trauma response, the coping habit you wish you could drop: none of these are defects. They are intelligent responses to what life has put in front of you, and they are the body and mind asking for attention, safety, or care.

We don't try to override that. We listen to it with you, with curiosity instead of judgment, and we help you create the conditions where your own capacity to heal can do its work. Given the right conditions, a plant grows toward the light. So do people.

1

You are not the problem

Symptoms and coping behaviors are intelligent responses to hard things, not evidence that something is wrong with you.

2

The body leads

A calm nervous system can do things an overwhelmed one cannot. We work with the body, not just the story.

3

You do the healing. We build the conditions.

Safety, skills, and a relationship you can trust. Given those, people grow toward the light the way a plant does.

GETTING STARTED

Three steps to your first session

Most people start within a week of reaching out.

1

Reach out

Call, text or send a message. Tell us what is going on, or just that you want to talk. A free 15-minute call is fine.

2

We match you

We talk through age, concern, schedule and insurance, then pair you with the clinician who fits. If it is not clicking later, we help you switch.

3

Your first session

You talk, we listen, and together you set a direction. Most people say it feels less like an interview and more like being heard.

COST AND COVERAGE

Insurance & Rates

We work with most major Utah plans, but not every clinician is credentialed with every plan. Call us before your first session and we will check which of our therapists your insurance covers. If you would rather not use insurance, self-pay is $150 for a 60-minute session with any clinician.

Coverage varies by clinician, so we confirm your plan against the therapist you will see before you book. A free 15-minute call is the first step.

BEFORE YOU CALL

Common Questions

  • You talk, we listen. Your therapist will ask what has been happening, what you have already tried and what you want to be different. Together you set a direction and a plan. Most people say it feels less like an interview and more like finally being heard.

  • Yes. Every clinician offers telehealth across Utah except Amy Pollard, who sees clients in person. Everyone sees clients at our Provo office too. Tell us your preference when you call and we will match you accordingly.

  • Yes. Emily Scoffield, Brittany Taggart and Aubree Stock all work with children, and Aubree sees children under six. Kristen Morgan works with children from age 6, teens, and adults.

  • Absolutely. The relationship between you and your therapist matters more than almost anything else in therapy. If it is not clicking, tell us and we will help you transition to another member of the team.

  • We work with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, DMBA, EMI, PEHP, Select Health, UMR, United Healthcare and University of Utah plans, and TRICARE is coming soon. Not every clinician is credentialed with every plan, so call us and we will check which therapists your insurance covers before your first session. Without insurance, a 60-minute session is $150 with any clinician.

  • Start with age and concern: our Our Therapists page lists who each clinician sees and what they focus on. If you are still not sure, call us. A short conversation is usually enough to point you to the right person, and the relationship matters more than any credential.

  • It depends on what you are working on. Some people come for a few months to get through something specific; others stay longer to work on patterns that took years to form. You and your therapist set goals early and check in on them regularly, and you are never locked in.

  • Yes. What you say in session stays between you and your therapist, with the legal exceptions every licensed clinician follows: an immediate risk of serious harm to you or someone else, suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, or a court order. Your therapist will walk you through this in the first session.

  • Our office is at 746 East 1910 South, Suite 4, in Provo, with free parking at the building. We see clients Monday through Saturday from 8:00am to 10:00pm and Sunday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and every clinician except Amy offers telehealth across Utah.
